RSI @ SEG 2011
seg

The team at RSI welcomes you to stop by our booth #3016 to learn about advances we have made in the characterization of shale plays, reservoir property prediction offshore West Africa and the second chapter of CSEM or to discuss a specific technical challenge you might be facing. We will also deliver presentations at the times listed below. In addition to presenting interesting topics that showcase our core business, we are excited to have Dr. Sven Treitel presenting a keynote talk on "Global and Local Joint Inversion."

2011 SEG Presentation Schedule
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
10am Fluid Prediction in West African Turbidites using Pre-Stack Inversion
11am Rock Physics of Shale Plays
1pm Geophysical Reservoir Characterization of Shale Plays
2pm CSEM: Chapter Two
Tuesday Keynote
12pm Global and Local Joint Inversion - Dr. Sven Treitel

RSI’s Technology

The RSI shared earth model illustrates how we use an integrated approach to today’s exploration and exploitation challenges by integrating well, seismic, CSEM/MT, and production datasets.  Our experienced geophysicists, petrophysicists, EM specialists and geologists have a variety of advanced tools at their disposal.

Global Experience

RSI provides quantitative seismic reservoir characterization services to a global client base using proprietary technologies developed under the auspices of industry funded research consortia, as well as third-party commercial software. The ultimate purpose of our software and services is to optimize drilling strategies, well placement and completions designs, and reduce uncertainty and risk.

Shale Experience

RSI is launching a Comprehensive Rock Physics Study & Atlas of Seismic Expression for Major North American Shale Plays at SEG.  This study and the resultant atlas will enable energy companies to determine how best to extract and calibrate engineering-related information from seismic data that relates directly to well placement and completion (hydraulic fracturing) operations. It is anticipated that the study will become an indispensable reference for assessing the similarity of rock properties encountered in shale plays elsewhere in the world with those found in North America.
