seismic modeling | quantitative interpretation
At Rock Solid Images, we use rock-physics relationships to construct sophisticated models of elastic parameters, Vp, Vs and density, as a function of rock and fluid properties. We include the information derived from check-shots to correct and verify these models.
Synthetic seismic response to fluid substitution modeling
In addition to modeling elastic properties, Rock Solid Images is unique in offering a comprehensive set of technology for modeling in-elastic properties or "Q". This includes rock-physics algorithms to derive depth-variant Q profiles or logs.
The final step in the modeling workflow is to convert these elastic properties into synthetic seismograms, so we can make comparisons with surface seismic data.
We offer two different methods to construct seismograms, both of which allow user-specified wavelets:
Once the synthetic seismograms are computed, a range of seismic attributes may be generated and compared to attributes derived from surface seismic data.
